Tudor Pelagos is the uncompromising diver's watch
The launch of the Pelagos in 2012 – just three years after Tudor’s relaunch in 2009 – marked the arrival of one of the most capable diver’s watches on the market. Designed from the ground up, with no inspiration from previous collections at either Tudor or Rolex, the Pelagos stands today as one of the brand’s most feature-driven watches. As Tudor’s modern and uncompromising diver’s watch, the Pelagos is constructed from advanced materials such as titanium and ceramic, is water-resistant to an impressive 500 metres and is equipped with a helium escape valve – all elements that underline its serious diving profile.
Exquisite details and materials
Featuring a specially designed clasp that allows for quick micro-adjustments, as well as a spring-loaded system that adapts to wetsuits, every detail of the Pelagos has been created with functionality in mind. The matte-finished dial with a strong lume is clearly reminiscent of classic diving watches and ensures high readability underwater. With a diameter of 42 mm, the Pelagos is a striking watch on the wrist, but thanks to the lightweight materials, it is also comfortable to wear – despite its clear prioritization of function over form, something few watches still do today.
